Private primary schools perform better than public primary schools. The best performers (Children of the rich who can afford private primary schools) secure vacancies in the best public schools. The public secondary schools perform better than private secondary schools because the parents in the best public sec. schools can afford very expensive incentive structures for teachers to spoon feed their children.(Note that the fees in these schools have gone beyond the reach of poor Kenyans). It follows that the same children of the rich are the ones who are admitted to the best degree courses in public universities. I would suggest that public secondary schools admit over 85% from public primary schools to have a sense of fairness.

Perfomance is a function of inputs and managment of the same, why do you think the goverment is insisting on the management of public service to to be at per with the rest of corporate world? the same must apply to public schools.

Hello,
I am an international student admissions counselor at Winona State University in Minnesota, USA, and I need to know when exactly the KCSE is issued. For example, if the Result Slip says 2008, when the final certificates will be available? I was told it will be available after December 2009, is it true? Is it always in December of the following year? Thank you very much for your response. Alicia Reed

Obviously most private schools have more resources, pay better and have less candidates than public schools, that's how they end up beating public schools.
